How Do You Ride A Kick Scooter?
As the name suggests, you need to kick! Riding the Sidewalker USA kick scooter is very simple, and most users will pick up the skill within a few minutes. You ride it almost like a bicycle, but standing upright you lean your body in the direction you wish to go and kick with one leg while keeping the other on the platform. The common frequency is 3 to10 kicks with one foot, and then change the kicking foot. Users develop a natural rhythm with minimal use.
Different manufacturers build kick scooters with many different platform heights. A lower platform minimizes the degree of squatting necessary to kick, and so might appear to be desirable. The drawback to a low platform, however is that uneven pavements, bumps, cracks and pot holes are everywhere and a low platform may not be able to clear obstacles. Since safety is paramount at Sidewalker USA, our kick scooters were designed with a platform 5.5” of the ground. This allows for a safe minimum ground clearance yet maintains a reasonable platform height.

• The Zümaround model is an electric kick scooter, for those wishing an electric-assisted riding experience. The scooter bike has dual 20” X 1.75” pneumatic tires similar to our Willy model. The addition of a 250W motor to help tackle steep hills or headwinds.
